Help?

Has anyone had their .wav or .mp3 files open in Audacity totally garbled? Like alien-speak? Does anyone know how to fix this?

Had to burn my audio files onto a CD and reopen them in Audacity. It took a while. But hopefully this helps anyone who is having a similar issue.
